About The Position

Camillus House is seeking a Licensed Psychologist (1099 Independent Contractor) to provide high-quality psychological services to underserved and vulnerable populations. The role involves conducting comprehensive psychological evaluations, administering and interpreting tests, developing treatment plans, and providing evidence-based individual, group, and/or family therapy. The psychologist will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, maintain accurate clinical documentation, and adhere to agency standards and regulations. This is a contract position responsible for managing all personal taxes, benefits, and business-related expenses.

Requirements

  • Doctoral degree (PhD or PsyD) in Clinical Psychology or related field from an accredited institution
  • Current and unrestricted Psychologist license in the State of Florida
  • Experience conducting psychological testing and clinical assessments required
  • Strong clinical judgment, diagnostic capabilities, and crisis intervention skills
  • Excellent written communication and clinical documentation skills
  • Ability to work independently while effectively collaborating within a multidisciplinary environment
  • Cultural competence and sensitivity when working with diverse populations

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum of two (2) years of post-licensure clinical experience preferred, particularly within behavioral health, substance use treatment, or community-based settings
  • Experience working with underserved, homeless, or high-acuity populations strongly preferred
  • Training and/or experience in trauma-informed care and co-occurring disorders preferred

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations and diagnostic assessments in accordance with DSM-5-TR criteria
  • Administer, score, and interpret psychological and cognitive testing as clinically indicated
  • Develop individualized treatment plans aligned with clinical findings and program goals
  • Conduct risk assessments, including suicidality evaluations and Baker Act assessments when appropriate
  • Provide evidence-based individual, group, and/or family therapy services
  • Deliver trauma-informed and culturally competent care utilizing modalities such as CBT, DBT, MI, and other clinically appropriate interventions
  • Support clients experiencing homelessness, substance use disorders, and co-occurring behavioral health conditions
  • Participate in crisis intervention and stabilization efforts as needed
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including case managers, medical staff, and behavioral health providers
  • Provide clinical consultation and recommendations to support integrated care planning
  • Participate in treatment team meetings, case conferences, and discharge planning activities
  • Complete timely, accurate, and compliant clinical documentation in accordance with agency standards, payer requirements, and applicable federal and state regulations, including 42 CFR where applicable
  • Maintain compliance with HIPAA, confidentiality standards, and all contractual obligations
  • Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems for documentation and service coordination
