The Wellness Center at MHALA is launching a Neuroinclusive Project to serve individuals with Neurodivergent conditions like Autism Spectrum Disorder and ADHD. The Psychologist will play a key role in identifying, assessing, and supporting these individuals through psychological assessment and testing. They will also provide clinical consultation to a multidisciplinary team to enhance service delivery and may conduct staff training to improve understanding and support for Neurodivergent participants.
Requirements
- Licensed Clinical Psychologist in the State of California.
- Clinical experience working with adults with Neurodivergent conditions such as Autism Spectrum Disorder and ADHD, as well as experience with other psychiatric disorders including Mood Disorders, Anxiety Disorders, PTSD, and Psychotic Disorders.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish a plus.
- Ability to effectively present information, both verbal and written.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams, and Outlook.
- Understanding of confidentiality, HIPAA, and other legal and ethical guidelines affecting evaluation and compliance.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle highly sensitive information with discretion.
- Driving with current class C driver’s license, a vehicle for transportation, proof of valid automobile insurance, the ability to be insured by MHALA’s liability insurance are conditions of employment.
- TB clearance and re-testing every year are conditions of continued employment.
- Employment verification directly from three (3) past employers within the most recent 7-year period.

Responsibilities
- Join a multi-disciplinary team providing holistic mental health care to MHALA program participants.
- Provide psychological assessment and diagnosis of referred participants, with a particular focus on assessing for Neurodivergent conditions such as Autism Spectrum Disorder and ADHD.
- Develop a recommended treatment plan and disposition for each participant assessed, reporting this information to the Wellness Center Team for implementation of appropriate supports.
- Present findings/outcomes from completed assessments at team meetings and provide feedback to the team on how best to meet participant needs.
- Report and assist with tracking outcomes to the Director for purposes of reporting to grant funders.
- Document all clinical services in the Electronic Health Record as required by LA County Department of Mental Health.
- Provide trainings as assigned or as need is identified on topics that will assist MHALA staff better serve the needs of the Neurodivergent population.
