About The Position

We are seeking a Licensed Psychologist to join our Diagnostic team at Centria. This full-time role offers a hybrid schedule, allowing for 2-3 days in the center and remote work for tasks like report writing and virtual interviews. The position focuses on the early identification and diagnosis (birth–12) of individuals suspected of having autism spectrum disorder. You will be part of a collaborative team environment that emphasizes peer consultation and interdisciplinary support, moving away from the isolation often found in testing psychology roles.

Requirements

  • PhD or PsyD in clinical psychology, school psychology, or a related field.
  • Completed an APA-accredited internship and postdoctoral fellowship.
  • Clinical training/background in early intervention programs.
  • Proficiency in the administration of multiple standardized assessments, including the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule – Second Edition (ADOS-2).
  • Fully licensed in the state(s) of practice as a Licensed Psychologist or under provisions specified by their Board of Psychologist Examiners.
  • 2+ years of professional experience in the examination, evaluation, and treatment of children and their families (preferred).
  • Experience administering and scoring commonly used standardized assessment tools (e.g., Vineland, WPPSI, WISC-V, EVT, PPVT, ADOS-2, ADI-R, PDDBI, PSI, SRS-2, CBCL).
  • Basic computer skills and working knowledge of tablets/iPads.
  • Proficiency with Laptop, G Suite (Gmail, Drive, Docs, Sheets, Google Meet).
  • Ability to follow written instructions.
  • Ability to use computers and computer/software programs.
  • Ability to communicate expressively and receptively.
  • Demonstrated ability to interview, perform psychological evaluations, and provide a treatment plan.
  • Expertise in tracking and ensuring clinical outcomes, progress, and maintaining a high level of compliance.
  • Proficiency in preparing reports for parents, medical personnel, funding agencies, and medical records.
  • Ability to effectively engage in one-to-one communication with parents and clients.
  • Proven experience and understanding of customer service.
  • Works well in a collaborative environment and builds mutual trust and credibility at all levels of the organization.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with clients, internal and external stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and self-motivated to achieve business goals.

Nice To Haves

  • Specialization in early identification, screening, diagnosis, and treatment of autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and related neurodevelopmental disorders from birth through 21 years.
  • Experience with the Autism Diagnostic Interview - Revised (ADI-R).

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive diagnostic evaluations for individuals suspected of having ASD.
  • Conduct, score, interpret, and provide feedback on assessment measures.
  • Administer autism-specific assessments such as the ADOS-2 and the ADI-R.
  • Administer and interpret tools that assess developmental, intellectual, cognitive, adaptive, social, speech, language, communicative, medical, and neurological functioning.
  • Provide sensitive, thoughtful, and supportive feedback to parents.
  • Work effectively with team members, parents, young children, and colleagues.
  • Potentially engage in consultation and program development with community providers, schools, and interdisciplinary clinical and research teams.
  • Increase professional skills and knowledge in providing evidence-based and family-centered care.
  • Interact successfully with individuals from diverse cultural, ethnic, and educational backgrounds.
  • Assist in developing corporate structure and creating policies and procedures.
  • Participate in team meetings.
  • Assist in managing office staff for maximum efficiency.
  • Maintain knowledge of and compliance with different state and payor specific programs and certifications related to the practice of psychology and diagnostics.
  • Promote the growth of Centria Healthcare and assist in the pursuit of business opportunities.
