About The Position

Sierra Health and Wellness uses evidence-based methods to accomplish the restoration of families, relationships, and self-worth. By transforming the character, we give life back to the people who have lost it through substance abuse and mental health issues. Our 15-bed, mental health facility is located in Orangevale, Ca. Our inpatient facility serves voluntary clients who receive specialized and personal care from our staff. Positions available: Per diem

Requirements

  • Current Psychiatric Technician (PT) license or LVN
  • Must have a valid Driver’s License.
  • Current Psychiatric Technician (PT) license
  • Possess a High School diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Familiar with HIPAA/client confidentiality and personal rights.
  • Possess CPR/First Aid certification.
  • Current TB test and health screen
  • Valid Driver’s License

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the day-to-day delivery of patient care.
  • Provides outstanding, individualized resident care and medical support to clients as needed.
  • Prepare and review medical records and nurses' notes to evaluate the resident's physical and emotional status.
  • Provide care according to the Physician's orders, care plans, established standards, policies and procedures.
  • Prepare and monitor patient administered medications as ordered by the physician in accordance with nursing standards and facility policies.
  • Monitors and reports adverse reactions to medications and treatment to the RN and/or Physician.
  • Sign, date and perform all charting, record keeping and care plans in accordance with established policies and procedures.
  • Utilizes good infection control procedures.
  • Utilizes behavioral management and crisis intervention techniques.
  • Ensures compliance with State licensing standards and accreditation standards
  • Adheres to and upholds the policies and procedures of the company.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Facilitate group therapy sessions.
  • Provide client assistance in crisis intervention situations.
  • Maintains EMR.
  • Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team, including psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, and occupational therapists.
