About The Position

We’re an 86-bed behavioral health hospital in DeSoto, Texas, proudly serving the Dallas–Fort Worth community since 1988. Through inpatient and outpatient programs, we care for children, adolescents, adults, and older adults. Our team brings compassion, skill, and teamwork to each person’s care—and we’re looking for people who want their work to make a meaningful impact. The Program Therapist performs social services functions to include assisting patients in meeting their biopsychosocial needs while enabling them to access through therapeutic treatment skills to achieve their optimal level of emotional health, including providing basic consultation, teaching, complete specialized clinical social work services for patients/families receiving care, crisis intervention, short-term and long-term family therapy, and providing information and referrals as needed.

Requirements

  • Master's Degree from an accredited college or university, in Social Work or a clinical related mental health field required.
  • One (1) year experience in a psychiatric, behavioral health hospital setting preferred.
  • Must be state certified in social work or clinical related mental health field.
  • LPC, LMSW, or LCSW, RN, LFMT license required.
  • CPR and CPI or HWC training must be completed prior to beginning work.
  • Must be able to pass a competency exam for the area upon hire.
