Requirements

  • Possession of an active license as a professional geologist issued by the Pennsylvania State Registration Board for Professional Engineers, Land Surveyors and Geologists.
  • Possession of an active Pennsylvania non-commercial Class C driver's license or equivalent.
  • Ability to perform essential job functions.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct site inspections, gather groundwater data, and document local geologic conditions
  • Evaluate hydrogeological information, interpret maps and logs, and prepare clear technical reports
  • Assess environmental proposals and groundwater studies to determine accuracy and compliance
  • Address groundwater and stray gas concerns, as well as contribute to decisions regarding remediation needs
  • Provide expertise to staff, management, and the public regarding groundwater issues and regulatory requirements
