About The Position

Ozarks Community Hospital (OCH) in Decatur, AR has openings for a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) within its Behavioral Health Evergreen Clinic. The mission of OCH is to provide exceptional healthcare and preventive services with compassion, respect, and dignity, focusing on the underserved and improving access to care. The LPC Clinical Therapist will offer comprehensive mental health services to individuals and families facing mental health and addiction issues, including crises related to medical procedures or illness. Services will be delivered through intensive outpatient programs and will involve a caring, friendly, personal, and professional approach. Responsibilities include group work, supportive therapy, discharge planning, and casework services, with the number and type of patients varying based on needs and OCH guidelines.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Social Work from a C.S.W.E. accredited school.
• Active LPC Licensure within the state of practicing.
• Must hold a current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross. Recertification required before expiration throughout employment.

Nice To Haves

• Three years previous experience in psychiatric/medical social work preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive mental health services to individuals and their families experiencing mental health and addiction issues.
• Address blended medical and psychosocial crises precipitated by illness, medical procedures, or subsequent developments through intensive outpatient services.
• Communicate with patients, families, visitors, and other employees in a caring, friendly, personal, and professional manner.
• Provide group work, supportive therapy, discharge planning, and casework services to patients and their families.
• Service a number and type of patients that depend on patient needs and OCH guidelines.
