About The Position

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) to join our dynamic mental health team. Requirements

Must possess a master’s degree or above in Counseling from an Accredited School.
Current AL license issued by the Alabama Board of Examiners in Counseling to practice as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC).
CPR Certification
Proven experience in psychotherapy or mental health counseling within outpatient or inpatient settings.
Demonstrated expertise working with children, adolescents, or individuals with development disabilities such as autism spectrum disorder (ASD).
Strong background in crisis management, trauma-focused therapy (including PTSD care), grief counseling, and addiction counseling.
Familiarity with medical terminology, ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10), CPT coding for billing purposes, and clinical documentation standards.
Ability to apply research findings and evidence-based practices to clinical interventions while adhering to ethical guidelines in mental health care.

Nice To Haves

Experience providing telehealth therapy services using secure platforms is highly preferred.
Knowledge of special education needs and experience working with individuals in pediatric or geriatrics populations is advantageous.

Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments and diagnostic evaluations utilizing ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding standards to inform personalized treatment plans.
Deliver individual, group, family, and child/youth therapy sessions using evidence-based practices such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), trauma-focused therapy, psychodynamic therapy, and behavioral therapy.
Implement crisis intervention strategies to manage acute mental health emergencies effectively while ensuring client safety and well-being.
Utilize telehealth platforms to provide remote counseling sessions, maintain clinical documentation standards within Electronic Medical Records (EMR/EHR) systems.
Develop and monitor individualized treatment plans aligned with clinical guidelines, HIPPA regulations, and ethical standards.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams-including social workers, medical professionals, educators, and case managers-to coordinate comprehensive care for clients with complex needs.
Maintain accurate medical records, document clinical notes thoroughly, and ensure compliance with HIPPA and other confidentiality requirements.
