About The Position

Ellie Mental Health – Clarkston is an independently owned and operated private practice serving both the local Clarkston community and the state of Michigan through our office space and telehealth. We manage almost all of your administrative tasks, including billing, so that you can focus on what you love, client care. We are looking for a compassionate and motivated LPC to join our growing team! In this role, you’ll provide therapy while also signing notes for LLPC's. At EMH you’ll deliver outpatient care in a fully furnished, welcoming clinic space designed to support both client wellness and clinician comfort. Please note - we’re only considering fully licensed LPCs for this position. We offer a standout W2 pay model (straight commission) with industry-leading compensation.

Requirements

  • Must hold full, unrestricted licensure in the State of Michigan. Provisional or limited licensure does not meet eligibility criteria.
  • A master’s degree in counseling or related field from an accredited institution.
  • Experience in creating and implementing treatment plans, as well as maintaining detailed clinical documentation including case notes and diagnostic updates.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills that support therapeutic effectiveness, collaboration, and client trust.
  • Demonstrated ability to establish and uphold stable, ethical boundaries with clients in a clinical setting.
  • Consistently completes session records, service notes, and required documentation promptly.
  • Comfortable and confident working with a diverse population across age groups, backgrounds, and presenting issues.
  • Proficient in day-to-day office tools and electronic health records (EHR); experience with Valant is a plus!

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in a private practice setting.
  • Fully licensed clinicians who are credentialed with multiple insurance panels and EAPs.
  • Experience leveraging social media and community marketing.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive mental health intakes, develop treatment plans, and complete timely documentation including diagnoses, treatment plans, and session notes.
  • Maintain a minimum of 25 direct client facing hours per week as a full-time clinician, with an initial scheduling availability of 35 hours per week to support caseload growth.
  • Review and co-sign notes to LLPC's on the team.
