About The Position

Providence St. Vincent's Medical Center is seeking full-time Licensed Professional Counselors, Social Workers (LCSW), and Licensed Marriage and Family Therapists (LMFT). These roles are combined postings, and consideration will be given based on individual qualifications. The Licensed Professional Counselor practices under clinical supervision, focusing on the evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of psychiatric and substance use disorders. They collaborate with patients and their support systems to provide specialized psychotherapy services using evidence-based approaches. The Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) independently provides comprehensive biopsychosocial/spiritual assessments, diagnoses, and treatment interventions. They collaborate with patients, support systems, and interdisciplinary teams to develop person-centered care plans, working to reduce health disparities and uphold ethical standards. The Behavioral Health Associate LPC/LMFT also practices under clinical supervision, focusing on the evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of psychiatric and substance use disorders, utilizing evidence-based psychotherapy approaches.

Requirements

• Master's Degree in Counseling, Counseling Psychology, or related field (for LPC).
• Master's Degree in Social Work from a CSWE Accredited School of Social Work or in candidacy status (for LCSW).
• Master's Degree in Family Therapy (for LMFT).
• Upon hire: Oregon Professional Counselor License (for LPC).
• Upon hire: Oregon Clinical Social Worker License or Washington Clinical Independent Social Worker License (for LCSW).
• License in states wherever care is delivered (for LCSW).
• Upon hire: Oregon Marriage and Family Therapist License (for LMFT).
• 2 years relevant Social Work experience (may include CSWA experience) (for LCSW).

Nice To Haves

• 1 year Master's level practicum in a behavioral health setting in an accredited college or university internship (for LPC and LMFT).
• Additional experience in substance use treatment setting (for LPC and LMFT).

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat psychiatric and substance use disorders.
• Collaborate with patients and their support systems to develop and implement treatment plans.
• Provide specialized psychotherapy services using evidence-based approaches (e.g., CBT, motivational interviewing, DBT, ACT, recovery model).
• Assess patient risk to self and/or others and implement risk reduction/mitigation plans.
• Provide individual, group, and family psychotherapy in multi-modal treatment settings.
• Conduct comprehensive biopsychosocial/spiritual assessments, diagnoses, and interventions.
• Incorporate concepts of life span development, neurobiology, and behavioral change.
• Develop and implement evidence-informed, person-centered care plans across the care continuum.
• Work collaboratively with inter/multi-disciplinary teams and various departments.
• Respect patient self-determination and reduce health disparities/barriers to care.
• Adhere to NASW code of ethics, Standards of Practice (SOP), and mission.
