About The Position

The Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) provides therapeutic services to adult patients in a structured inpatient neurorecovery setting. This role supports emotional stabilization, behavioral progress, and long-term recovery for individuals with complex neurological conditions.

Requirements

  • Active Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) license in the State of Texas
  • Master’s degree in Counseling, Psychology, or related field
  • Strong clinical assessment, communication, and crisis intervention skills
  • Ability to work in a structured, team-oriented healthcare environment
  • Texas LPC license in good standing
  • CPI or de-escalation training (required within 30 days of hire)
  • Must maintain all certifications and licensure throughout employment

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in adult inpatient, neurorehabilitation, or behavioral health settings preferred

Responsibilities

  • Provide individual, group, and family therapy for adult patients
  • Complete psychosocial assessments and contribute to individualized treatment plans
  • Document clinical services in accordance with regulatory and facility standards
  • Collaborate with physicians, nursing, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated care
  • Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions tailored to neurological recovery
  • Provide crisis intervention and de-escalation support as needed
  • Participate in treatment team meetings and case reviews
  • Support discharge planning and continuum-of-care coordination
