Requirements

Must have successfully completed all education and training requirements leading to and graduated from an accredited national, state or military equivalent school for Practical Nursing.
NCLEX-LPN
One year of practical or vocational nurse experience after graduation
Practiced as an LPN performing hands-on patient care in the outpatient clinical setting for at least 12 months within the past 24 months.
Experience performing care and treatment of patients; operating and maintaining therapeutic equipment; properly administering oral and parenteral medications; conducting paraprofessional portions of physical examinations; or assisting in medical treatment of patients in accordance with established procedures and protocols, within the LPN scope of practice.
Active, unrestricted LPN/LVN license from any state.
Possess a current AHA or ARC BLS Healthcare Provider certification, PALS and ACLS certifications
Must possess ability to pass a Government background check/security clearance.

Responsibilities

Initiate, perform and complete assigned duties in providing care to variable patient
Complete assigned patient care based on the patients’ conditions, use judgment in selecting the appropriate order and sequence of procedures and treatments, and accurately recognize, report and record relevant patient
Observe, identify and respond to the patient’s needs for care, including medication, equipment-assisted care and patient/family
Prepare and administer prescribed medications (oral, topical, subcutaneous, intramuscular and/or intravenous) and perform treatments according to established policies/procedures.
Recognize urgent or emergent patient care situations, seek assistance of the RN and/or MD/DO, and initiate appropriate emergency interventions as
Perform support duties for complex diagnostic tests and/or specialized practices or procedures, which include preparing the patient, assisting in the diagnostic examination, preparing and handling specialized instruments or other specialized equipment, and monitoring the patient’s condition before, during, and after
Orient peers and ancillary personnel to unit policies and procedures, skills, and standards of
Integrate healthy work environment principles that result in improved patient healthcare delivery, education of patients and their families and employee
Serves as a Practical Nurse performing patient care and nursing administrative duties for outpatients in accordance with established policies, procedures, protocols, and
Monitors and records age appropriate physiological
Orients new patients to the clinic/hospital
Assists with patient check-ins, admissions, discharges, and transfers as
Provides individualized patient teaching on appropriate topics to include preventative healthcare and health maintenance.
Prepares and positions patients for diagnostic testing, examinations, treatments, and clinical procedures.
Performs appropriate portions of medical examinations, treatment, diagnostic, and clinical procedures.
Records treatment, procedure rendered, and observed
Identifies and records patient problems and appropriately notifies provider/nursing Team of observations.
Prepares and administers medications in accordance with scope of practice and training
Recognizes and responds to emergencies and performs basic life support
Performs appropriate portions of physical examinations including age appropriate physical measurements.
Adheres to infection control procedures including use of personal protective equipment, disposal of waste, and aseptic technique.
Performs central sterile supply
Ensures all equipment is properly assembled, operates, cleaned and stored at the end of each work
Ensures preventive maintenance and routine cleaning are performed as directed.
Performs medical records reviews and applies appropriate protocols and guidelines to determine medical needs.

Prepares and submits administrative
Participates in training and continuing education programs for new procedures, techniques, and equipment.

Participates in customer service initiatives and medical readiness activities designed to enhance health services.
Competency in tele-health, age specific in accordance with AMFRA standards.
Proficiency in Comprehensive Health Care System (CHCS), Armed Forces Health Longitudinal Technology Application (AHLTA), and Automated Data System (ADS) is
