About The Position

Neighborhood Health Center is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) who is kind, enjoys opportunities to collaborate, and is open to unique perspectives. The role involves using training, organizational skills, attention to detail, and influencing skills to perform nursing tasks and ensure an excellent patient experience. The position is primarily based at one of the Buffalo locations, with travel to other Neighborhood sites in Western New York as needed.

Requirements

Graduated from an accredited one or two year nursing school
Current NYS License as a Practical Nurse
Current CPR certification
Attention to detail and follow-through, organized, responsive, proactive, influencing skills

Responsibilities

Nursing tasks within the framework of case finding, health teaching, health counseling and provision of supportive and restorative care under direction of a registered professional nurse or licensed provider
Administer medications and provide treatments prescribed by providers
Perform immunizations and injections
Assist in facilitating patient flow for providers
Maintain the care and use of supplies, equipment, etc.
Perform all CLIA waiver tests and ensures all tests are up to date
Place and document PPD
Comply patient information in the absence of an RN and consult with medical provider
