About The Position
Minden Medical Center is seeking a full-time Licensed Practical Nurse for night-shift coverage. The LPN supports safe, attentive patient care and a smooth overnight experience by tracking patient status, assisting with comfort measures, administering medications as directed, and maintaining accurate documentation in partnership with the care team. The role includes rounding and follow-ups, responding to call lights, monitoring for changes in patient condition, communicating information among team members, and preparing a clear update for the next team at the end of the shift.
Requirements
- Meet education requirements prior to licensure through the Louisiana State Board of Nursing.
- Hold current LPN licensure with the Louisiana State Board of Nursing.
- Hold current AHA BLS certification.
Nice To Haves
- One year of Med/Surg experience.
Responsibilities
- Track patient status and remain alert to subtle changes.
- Assist with patient comfort measures and help patients rest comfortably.
- Administer medications as directed.
- Maintain accurate documentation.
