About The Position
This position involves providing care to patients under the direction of a registered nurse or physician, functioning within the scope of the LPN license. The role contributes to patient assessment and well-being, administers medications, observes for adverse reactions, and performs laboratory tests and therapeutic services. Additionally, the LPN will educate patients and families about disease treatment plans, self-care post-discharge, holistic health needs, available resources, and follow-up care.
Requirements
- Currently licensed or eligible to be licensed as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) by the Alabama Board of Nursing required.
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required.
- American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
- Graduate from an accredited Practical Nursing program or equivalent required.
Responsibilities

- Administer medications and observe patients for adverse reactions to medications or treatments.
