Requirements

Current Tennessee Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license or a current multistate/compact license that permits practice in Tennessee.
Graduate of an approved practical nursing program.
Current CPR certification as required.
Strong communication, organizational, and clinical skills.
A heart for serving the geriatric population and a commitment to honesty and integrity.

Responsibilities

Provide nursing care in accordance with physician orders, established plans of care, and applicable nursing standards.
Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely.
Observe, evaluate, and report changes in patient or resident condition.
Complete required nursing documentation accurately and on time.
Communicate effectively with physicians, nurses, nursing assistants, patients, residents, and families.
Assist in implementing individualized plans of care.
Provide direction and support to nursing assistants as appropriate.
Follow infection control, safety, regulatory, and NHC policies and procedures.
Promote a compassionate, respectful, and supportive care environment.
