About The Position

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) / Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to provide high-quality long-term care, focusing on patients with dementia and related conditions. The role includes working every other weekend and committing to 36 hours per week over an 8-week period. Nurses must be prepared to float to different units as required, with no exceptions. The position is available in New York.

Requirements

• Valid New York State LPN or LVN license.
• A minimum of 1 year of experience in a long-term care setting.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations.

Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients, focusing on those with dementia and related conditions.
• Assist in the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care plans.
• Ensure compliance with nursing practices and facility policies.
• Collaborate with a healthcare team to optimize patient outcomes.
• Document patient interactions and care provided accurately and timely.
• Float to different units as required.
