About The Position

Vanderbilt University Medical Center (VUMC) is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join their Ear-Nose & Throat Pediatric Clinic in Hendersonville, Tennessee. This role supports the licensed healthcare team in providing patient care, including direct patient care and educating patients and families. The LPN will work collaboratively with Registered Nurses and other licensed healthcare professionals to evaluate patient care plans and progress. All patient care activities are performed under the delegation and supervision of a licensed professional, adhering to VUMC standards and licensure regulations. The clinic is part of Vanderbilt Health's pediatric-focused services in Hendersonville, offering convenient access to specialty and primary care, including ENT services. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with no nights, weekends, holidays, or on-call duties.

Requirements

  • LIC-Licensed Practical Nurse - Tennessee
  • Relevant Work Experience
  • 1 year of experience
  • Graduate of an approved discipline specific program

Responsibilities

  • Supports the licensed healthcare team members in the provision of patient care to include direct patient care.
  • Provides healthcare information to patients/families.
  • Follows the established plan of care.
  • Works in close collaboration with the RN or a licensed healthcare team member to evaluate the patient's plan of care and progress toward goal attainment.
  • Collaborates with patients/families and health care providers in the delivery of health care services.
  • Partners with the healthcare team by following established plan of care to ensure patient progress for effective outcomes.
  • Supports plans to promote health and a safe and healthy environment.
