About The Position

PsyPhyCare, a division of Business Staffing of America, Inc., is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide on-site medical and wellness services within a federally supported residential youth program in Sedro-Woolley, Washington 98284. Our client operates a comprehensive residential program serving young adults, ages 16–24. The program’s mission is to prepare participants for meaningful employment and independent living. This role provides direct clinical services to students and collaborates closely with residential and program staff in a structured, community-based environment.

Requirements

  • Current and unrestricted Licensed Practical Nursing (LPN) license in the State of Washington.
  • Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing program required.
  • Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience in a clinical, school-based, residential, or community health setting required.

  • Additional nursing certifications are preferred.
  • Experience working with adolescents or young adults preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide on-site nursing services within the scope of practice under the applicable state nurse practice act and facility Wellness Guidelines.
  • Triaging urgent and emergent medical situations
  • Providing first aid, clinical assessments, and basic treatment
  • Monitoring students with chronic health conditions
  • Administering medications and assisting with examinations
  • Preparing and dispensing medications for overnight and weekend student use as authorized
  • Coordinating referrals and follow-up care with healthcare providers
  • Maintaining accurate and timely medical documentation and records
  • Tracking laboratory results, immunizations, and regulatory compliance requirements
  • Delivering individual and group health education sessions
  • Maintaining medical and prescription supply inventories
  • Providing staff training on health and wellness topics
  • Collaborating with community healthcare partners and program leadership
  • Supporting a safe, respectful, and inclusive campus environment
  • Identifying potential health, behavioral, learning, or mental health concerns and referring students as appropriate
  • Mentoring students through professional role modeling and participation in program initiatives as assigned
