About The Position
Walker Therapeutic and Educational Programs is a leading non-profit organization with over 60 years of experience, providing comprehensive programming in child welfare, children’s behavioral health, and special education. They serve over 150 communities in Massachusetts, with clients from diverse backgrounds struggling with anxiety and trauma. Services are offered through Residential, CBAT, Intensive Treatment Programs, Special Education Day School, Therapeutic Middle-High School, and Out-Patient and In-Home Therapeutic Services. New graduates are encouraged to apply. This position is located at the Needham Campus.
Requirements
- Associates degree in Nursing
- Interest in working with school-aged children
- Alternating weekend coverage and some holidays required

Responsibilities
- Provide routine medical care to students
- Provide emergency care to students if necessary
- Administer medications to students at various times throughout the shift
- Maintain medical records
- Provide on-going consultation to staff and attend required meetings
- Ensure that first aid supplies are available in all necessary locations
- Track and schedule medical, dental and lab appointments
- Provide in-service training to staff
- Communicate with parents/guardians/collaterals as needed
- Support Nursing internships
- Attend multidisciplinary team meetings as needed
- Other duties as assigned
