LPN - Full Time - Coral Springs
About The Position
My Health Onsite is hiring a full-time Licensed Practical Nurse for its Coral Springs healthcare center. The nurse will contribute to a patient-focused care team, help identify and respond to patient needs, and support care and patient outcomes. The role involves welcoming and preparing patients, taking vital signs, providing clinical assistance, performing blood draws and injections, maintaining treatment rooms and equipment, and documenting patient information and equipment checks. The schedule is Monday 8 a.m.–6 p.m., Tuesday 7 a.m.–5 p.m., Wednesday 8 a.m.–4 p.m., Thursday 10 a.m.–7 p.m., and Friday 8 a.m.–4 p.m.
Requirements
- Clear and active Licensed Practical Nurse license in Florida.
- One year of recent clinical experience; primary care or urgent care experience is preferred.
- BLS certification.
- Proficient knowledge of computer systems, including electronic medical records.
- Proficiency with blood draws and injections.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills when communicating with staff and patients.
- Friendly personality and ability to work well as a team member.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in a primary or urgent care setting.
Responsibilities
- Welcome patients and escort them to exam rooms.
- Prepare patients for radiology procedures and follow established clinical and regulatory procedures for patient safety and care, including radiation protection and shielding techniques.
- Obtain and record vital signs, including blood pressure, heart rate, pulse oximetry, height, weight, and waist circumference.
- Provide information and assistance to patients.
- Perform blood draws and administer injections and vaccinations; enter medical information into the EMR.
- Prepare treatment rooms for examinations and keep them neat, clean, and well stocked.
- Maintain patient confidence and confidentiality of patient care information.
- Assist the physician and medical staff with procedures and treatments.
- Complete and document daily equipment checks and calibration.
