Responsibilities

Obtaining vital signs (temperature, heart rate, pulse oximetry, blood pressure, and weight)
Inserting saline locks
Assisting with both basic and advanced cardiac life support
Performing EKGs
Assisting with pelvic exams
Applying sterile dressings
Removing sutures or staples
Cleansing and irrigating wounds
Administering oral medications
Giving injections via intramuscular, subcutaneous, intravenous, and intradermal routes
Applying splints including volar, thumb spica, ulnar gutter, and posterior leg splints
Performing venipuncture
Initiating routine lab tests
Swab mucous membranes for cultures
Administering and reading TB skin tests
Supporting referrals and documentation as needed
Flexibility, including cross-training and stepping in where needed to support the team and patient flow while aligning with our mission and values.
