Licensed Practical Nurse - Clinic (Chesapeake)
About The Position
We are seeking a reliable and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to support outpatient clinical services at Tricare Prime Clinic Chesapeake. Requirements
- Graduate of a State Board-approved LPN/LVN program or equivalent military training
- Minimum 1 year of LPN experience in outpatient, ambulatory, or acute care within the last 2 years
- Current, active, and unrestricted LPN/LVN license (any U.S. state or territory)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) required
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
Nice To Haves
- Experience with electronic medical record systems (AHLTA/CHCS)
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in an outpatient clinic setting
- Perform patient intake, triage, and vital sign collection
- Administer medications, immunizations, and IV therapies
- Assist providers with exams, procedures, and diagnostic testing
- Monitor and document patient conditions and responses to treatment
- Educate patients and families on care plans and follow-up instructions
- Support clinic workflow, patient flow, and care coordination
