Requirements
- Active authorization to practice as a Licensed Practice Nurse in Pennsylvania.
- If you are within 60 days of completing a licensed practical nursing program approved by the State Board of Nursing, you are eligible to apply for this job posting.
- At the time of appointment to a position, you must show proof of possession of a current, valid PA temporary practice permit or PA Licensed Practical Nurse license.
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
- Satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
- Satisfactory completion of a medical examination and drug screening.
Nice To Haves
- All employees possessing an active temporary practice permit must obtain licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse within the one (1) year period defined by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing.
Responsibilities
- Assist patients with daily living needs, provide first aid, and support mobility and safe transfers
- Administer medications, maintain accurate records, and observe patient responses
- Prepare patients for procedures, collect specimens, and report changes in condition
- Interact with patients using therapeutic communication and assist with behavioral needs
- Follow proper hygiene and sanitation practices to maintain a safe care environment
- Record patient information clearly and accurately following facility guidelines
