The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) role focuses on patient-centered care, including obtaining detailed patient histories, conducting physical examinations, measuring vital signs, and accurately recording patient information. LPNs champion patient wellness by guiding individuals through examinations and treatments, ensuring comfort, and collaborating with healthcare providers on personalized care plans. They facilitate coordination and communication by acting as a primary point of contact, coordinating referrals, diagnostic tests, follow-up appointments, and managing medication prescriptions. The role also involves excellence in clinical practice, conducting and interpreting diagnostic tests, performing minor procedures, assisting physicians, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams for holistic health management. LPNs are responsible for maintaining clinical standards, upholding cleanliness and safety in examination rooms, sterilizing instruments, and adhering to infection control protocols.

Requirements

  • Graduate from an accredited school of Licensed Practical Nursing, equipped with the skills to thrive
  • Licensed/Registered in New York State as an LPN, showcasing your dedication to professional standards
  • CPR Certification required, reflecting your commitment to quality care
  • Strong communication skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
