About The Position

Centurion is the provider of comprehensive healthcare services to the Indiana Department of Correction. The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) (Medical) provides holistic nursing care within the appropriate scope of practice to incarcerated patients. The LPN works under the direction of Registered Nurses (RNs) and medical and psychiatric staff to respond to a range of physical and behavioral health needs. This is a full-time position at Westville Correctional Facility in Westville, Indiana, with a night shift schedule of 6:00 p.m. to 6:30 a.m. and work every other weekend. The role offers a $7,500 bonus for joining the team full-time and a pay range of $25–$33 per hour, depending on years of experience.

Requirements

• Indiana Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license, or ability to obtain one.
• Active and appropriate certification in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR).
• Ability to obtain a security clearance, including passing a drug screen and criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Provide holistic nursing care within the appropriate scope of practice to incarcerated patients.
• Respond to patients’ physical and behavioral health needs under the direction of Registered Nurses and medical and psychiatric staff.
