About The Position

DaVita is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to provide care in an outpatient dialysis center for patients with end-stage renal failure or chronic kidney disease. The role focuses on compassionate, empathetic care and building meaningful, long-term relationships with patients and their families. Nurses work as part of a supportive team and care for patients with multiple co-morbidities who may require individualized treatment plans and a broad range of nursing skills. The work takes place in a fast-paced environment.

Dialysis experience is not required. Training may occur at a facility or training clinic other than the assigned home clinic, and the nurse may float to various facilities during and after training. A flexible schedule is required, including availability for mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays. DaVita provides paid training and a comprehensive rewards package.

Requirements

• Current LPN-LVN license in the state of practice.
• Current CPR certification.
• IV certification if required by state regulations.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Complete a training program approved by the medical director and governing body, as required by CMS guidelines, before operating the water treatment system.
• Basic computer skills and proficiency in MS Word and Outlook.
• Functional proficiency in DaVita computer systems within 90 days of hire.
• Flexible schedule and availability to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Nice To Haves

• BONENT or CHT certification, preferred or as required by state regulation.
• At least one year's experience in a hospital or clinical setting.
