About The Position

Avenues Recovery Center is hiring Licensed Practical Nurses for its detox and residential treatment facility in Aurora, Colorado. The role involves providing nursing care to clients throughout detox and residential treatment, including admission assessments, shift nursing duties, medication management, care coordination, and documentation. The position is offered as full-time or part-time weekend work on the day shift, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum one-year diploma program completed after high school.
• Current, valid LPN licensure in Colorado.
• Strong critical-thinking, oral communication, and written communication skills.
• Excellent collaboration, multitasking, and time-management skills.

Nice To Haves

• One year of experience in the treatment industry is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Complete a comprehensive medical assessment for each client upon admission.
• Perform nursing shift duties, including screening, taking vital signs, scheduling appointments and laboratory work, and updating charts.
• Address pharmacy needs and prescription authorizations; dispense medications and maintain medication logs.
• Collaborate with medical, clinical, and utilization review teams to coordinate care.
• Complete medical documentation, chart reviews, and medication logging for each client.
