About The Position

Knoxville Center for Behavioral Medicine is a comprehensive inpatient behavioral health facility providing acute behavioral health care and outpatient treatment to adults and geriatric adults in crisis due to severe symptoms related to behavioral health and/or substance use disorder. We are seeking a passionate LPN to join our team and improve behavioral health in the community. Our new hospital offers psychiatric care to adults and geriatric patients requiring inpatient hospitalization for mental disorders, including cognitive illnesses. We are a 64-bed acute inpatient setting with IOP/PHP oversight, focusing on adult and geriatric client populations with behavioral health and addiction treatment needs. Our approach is acute intervention with short-term stays, and we are a joint venture between NHC, Tennova, and the University of Tennessee Medical Center-Knoxville. Our mission is to improve the quality of life for our patients by delivering personalized behavioral health in a safe and supportive environment. Requirements

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) qualification
Ability to work either dayshift (6:45 am - 7:15 pm) or nightshift (6:45 pm - 7:15 am).

Nice To Haves

Experience in behavioral health and/or substance use disorder treatment.
Experience with adult and geriatric patient populations.

Responsibilities

Provide acute behavioral health care and outpatient treatment to adults and geriatric adults in crisis.
Administer psychiatric care to adults and geriatric patients requiring inpatient hospitalization due to mental disorders.
Provide oversight for Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP) and Partial Hospitalization Programs (PHP).
Focus on acute intervention with short-term stays.
