About The Position

This position works on a clinical operations team providing clinical support to our providers while ensuring our patients have a safe and positive experience. Duties and Responsibilities Work closely with clinical leadership to ensure smooth patient flow in the operational areas. Perform clinical duties in all areas including Express, Cast Room, and pods. Perform clinical duties such as the application and removal of casts, sutures, staples, braces. Perform wound care and deliver patient education. Respond to triages as needed or assigned in accordance with standard operating procedures. Room patients, take vitals and history, update electronic medical chart as needed. Update and maintain patient medical records, including visit details, insurance and contact information. Service patient after visit with appropriate paperwork, schedule follow-up appointment, send out medical records as requested, and answer any patient inquiries. Maintain exam rooms to appropriate regulatory standards. Audit new patient charts. Work as a team to replenish exam room and clinical supplies, including office supplies for designated area. Train others as needed or directed. Perform other duties as assigned by manager.

Requirements

  • Valid NYS LPN License or ATC BOC certification.
  • EMR knowledge required, MEDENT preferred.

Nice To Haves

  • 2+ years experience in high volume medical office rooming patients preferred, but not required.
  • Experience in wound care, casting highly preferred.
