About The Position
Centurion is seeking a full-time Travel Licensed Practical Nurse to join their Centurion Eagles Travel Team at Pinckneyville Correctional Center in Pinckneyville, IL. This role involves working at various facilities/locations throughout the state of Illinois, per contract needs, with each assignment restricted to one location. The LPN will provide holistic nursing care within their scope of practice to incarcerated patients, working under the direction of Registered Nurses and medical/psychiatric staff to address physical and behavioral health needs.
Requirements
- Licensed LPN with an active license to practice in Illinois.
- Minimum of one year of work experience as an LPN in a community outpatient clinic, hospital or long-term care facility preferred.
- Must be over 90+ miles from the selected facility.
- Must be appropriately and actively certified in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)/ BLS.
- Ability to obtain a security clearance, to include drug screen and criminal background check.
Nice To Haves
- Corrections experience preferred.
- Previous travel nursing experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide holistic nursing care within the appropriate scope of practice to incarcerated patients.
- Work under the direction of Registered Nurses (RN) and medical and psychiatric staff.
- Respond to a range of physical and behavioral health needs.
