About The Position

Eastern Nephrology Associates is seeking a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join their team. This role is crucial for supporting operations, collaborating with teams, and ensuring high standards of service and care in a patient-facing, on-site position. The LPN will provide direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse and assist physicians, Advanced Practice Providers, and clinical team members in delivering safe, timely, and patient-centered nephrology care. This role requires in-office presence for real-time collaboration, direct patient interaction, and secure handling of health data.

Requirements

  • Degree or Certification for Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) and 2 years clinical experience, or a combination of education and experience.
  • Active LPN license in the state of North Carolina/South Carolina
  • Current BLS or ACLS certification
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and EMR platforms
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Commitment to patient confidentiality and professional ethics
  • Interpersonal skills to collaborate with care teams and provide compassionate service

Responsibilities

  • Prepare patients for clinical evaluation, including chart review and initial assessment.
  • Obtain and document vital signs, weight, allergies, and current medications in the EMR.
  • Perform lab procedures within scope, including fingerstick HGB and stool card interpretation after certification.
  • Educate patients and complete referrals as directed by the provider.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of communication, interventions, and follow-up care in the EMR.
