About The Position

Prisma Health Urgent Care is hiring a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide hands-on patient care and support clinic operations in a fast-paced, team-oriented clinical environment. The position serves the Beaufort/Hilton Head area and may require travel to other Prisma Health Urgent Care locations to meet staffing and operational needs.

This is a full-time position scheduled for three 12-hour shifts per week, from 8 AM to 8 PM, with no overnight shifts. The LPN supports examinations and treatments, triage, clinical and laboratory procedures, occupational medicine services, regulatory compliance, administrative work, and quality assurance.

Requirements

• Completion of an accredited LPN program.
• Current LPN licensure in the state of South Carolina.
• Proficiency in venipuncture, injections, and clinical procedures.
• Experience using Electronic Medical Records (EMR) software.
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts, weekends, and holidays.
• A positive, proactive approach to patient care and collaboration.

Nice To Haves

• At least one year of healthcare experience is preferred; urgent care or emergency room experience is a plus.
• EPIC experience is preferred.
• Outstanding new graduates may be trained.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for examinations and treatments, helping ensure they are comfortable and informed.
• Perform triage and accurately take vital signs.
• Obtain and timely document patient histories in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system.
• Collect routine laboratory specimens, including blood, urine, and oral swabs.
• Administer medications and non-intravenous injections, including intramuscular, subcutaneous, and intradermal injections.
• Start IVs, place catheters, and perform splinting when necessary.
• Perform basic clinical, aseptic, and laboratory procedures to support patient care.
• Assist with Occupational Medicine services, including drug screening, breath alcohol testing, audiograms, and pulmonary function testing, while following company protocols.
• Enforce and maintain healthcare regulatory requirements, including HIPAA and OSHA compliance.
• Perform office procedures and general administrative tasks, and operate office medical equipment.
• Oversee compliance with quality assurance programs, CLIA-waived laboratory requirements, and patient result trackers.
• Travel to other Prisma Health Urgent Care locations as required to support staffing and operational needs.
