The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) will perform a wide variety of job duties, caring for and educating patients about their medical and psychiatric conditions. Establishing trust and building rapport with patients and their families are key elements of this position. The LPN will work effectively with the facility leadership team to ensure the success of the facility. This role involves resolving pending issues from the previous shift, ensuring compliance with infection control audits, managing medication storage and issues, ordering supplies, monitoring lab orders and outside consults, coordinating admission workflows, and performing administrative functions. The LPN will also conduct admission and discharge audits and collaborate with the treatment team to incorporate medical issues into treatment planning. This position requires participation in department and staff meetings, compassionate interaction with clients, good work habits, effective communication, flexibility, adaptability, objectivity under stress, acceptance of supervision, and the ability to address problems noted by supervisors.
