About The Position

Promises Behavioral Health is seeking LPNs to join our Team in College Station, TX. This position supports one of the trusted behavioral health programs within the Advanced Recovery Systems family. Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Completion of accredited LVN/LPN program, required.
Current, valid LVN or LPN license.
Current BLS/CPR certification.
Minimum one (1) year experience in behavioral health or residential detoxification program setting is required.

Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree, preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide professional, direct client care in a medical detoxification and residential program settings in accordance with established program procedures.
Collaborate with health team members in accordance with the nursing process and standards of care and practice.
Oversee fulfillment of patient’s medical orders and address patient medical concerns.
Triage medical concerns, administer medications and injections to patients as directed by a physician.
Monitor client self-administration of medication.
Serve as first line in any medical emergency and work with the clinical team in incidences of psychiatric emergencies.
Perform laboratory procedures from specimen collections, as authorized.
Record patient observations and activities in patient records accurately and timely in accordance with nursing standards and organizational policy and procedure.
Communicate with patients, physicians, nurses, and pharmacy staff.
Oversee all aspects of admission/discharge process, including pre-screening of new patients for appropriateness for admission, obtaining physical assessment data and health history, inventory and caring for patients’ personal possessions, and completing discharge paperwork.
Provide quality assessments to client’s medication sheets and files to determine if clients are receiving appropriate medication in a timely manner, including proper destruction of medication.
Follow all policies and procedures with regard to patient information protection, including alcohol-drug patient confidentiality and HIPAA.
Attend training on chemical dependency as required.
Maintain and adhere to established infection control/employee health program.
Maintain and demonstrate a current working knowledge of applicable clinical procedures and nursing care based on company policy and State and Federal guidelines.
Maintain appropriate professional boundaries with current clients, family members, referral sources and vendors.
