The Role We are seeking a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our clinical team in Metairie, Louisiana. This full-time role supports the delivery of high-quality nursing care to patients and families pursuing advanced reproductive services, including general clinical, ART/IVF, and float nursing assignments. We're looking for a detail-oriented, compassionate professional who thrives in a collaborative, patient-centered environment.

Requirements

  • Completion of an accredited practical nursing program and passage of the NCLEX-PN licensing exam, with active LPN licensure in Louisiana.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective interaction with patients, colleagues, and providers.
  • Ability to manage protocols across multiple physicians with precision and strong multitasking skills in a busy, deadline-driven environment.
  • Proficiency in electronic medical record systems with a commitment to maintaining a high standard of patient care and accurate documentation.
  • Flexibility to work occasional Saturdays, holidays, and on-call as scheduled.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in reproductive endocrinology and infertility (REI) and/or IVF.
  • Phlebotomy skills.

Responsibilities

  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests per established protocols, ensuring accurate documentation in the eIVF system.
  • Conduct screening examinations and assess results, participating in patient assessments including lab results, ultrasounds, and specific pregnancy needs.
  • Assist physicians with examinations and procedures such as inseminations and transvaginal ultrasounds.
  • Educate patients on medical and nursing procedures and offer emotional support throughout their treatment journey.
  • Triage patient calls, provide solutions, and follow up as needed; check and respond to patient messages and complete tasks in eIVF throughout the day.
  • Instruct patients on treatments and medications, coordinate follow-up appointments, and collaborate with other FINO locations as required.
  • Manage and schedule surgical procedures, pre- and post-operative visits, and coordinate with surgical centers.
  • Work with billing agents/FSRs to secure pre-certifications for infertility procedures.
  • Cover clinical nursing duties during absences and participate in team meetings and ongoing professional development.
  • Maintain a safe and clean workspace and uphold HIPAA guidelines for patient confidentiality.
