About The Position
Centurion Health is seeking a Full-time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join their team at GDCP in Jackson, GA. This role focuses on providing mental health and medical services within the Georgia Department of Corrections. The position is ideal for nurses who prefer day hours, competitive pay, and a structured clinical environment, free from the typical interruptions of hospital settings. The LPN will provide holistic nursing care within their scope of practice to incarcerated patients, working under the direction of Registered Nurses and medical/psychiatric staff to address physical and behavioral health needs.
Requirements
- 2 years of experience in behavioral health, correctional, or ER
- Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license | Compact (MSL) or Georgia (SL) | Must be active and valid
- Must be appropriately and actively certified in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) or BLS | Must be active
- Ability to obtain security clearance via the GADOC, this may include drug screen and criminal background check
Responsibilities
- Deliver safe, ethical, and evidence-based nursing care
- Follow established safety, security, and infection control protocols
- Monitor patient conditions and report changes appropriately
- Collaborate with medical, mental health, and custody teams
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
