Located in Niles, Ohio, New Day Recovery, provides medical detoxification and residential treatment. Position Summary As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), you will play a critical role in supporting clients throughout their treatment and recovery journey. Working alongside a multidisciplinary team of medical and behavioral health professionals, you will provide direct nursing care, monitor client health and well-being, administer medications, and help ensure a safe, therapeutic environment while helping individuals achieve lasting recovery.
Requirements
- Current Ohio LPN license in good standing.
- Strong clinical assessment and critical-thinking skills.
- Ability to remain calm and professional in fast-paced or crisis situations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to client-centered care and recovery principles.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in behavioral health, addiction treatment, detoxification, or residential healthcare preferred, but not required.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to clients receiving substance use and behavioral health treatment.
- Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and nursing standards.
- Monitor and document client health status, withdrawal symptoms, and treatment progress.
- Respond appropriately to medical concerns, emergencies, and changes in client condition.
- Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, counselors, and support staff to coordinate care.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant clinical documentation.
- Support client education regarding medications, treatment plans, wellness, and recovery.
- Promote a safe, respectful, and recovery-focused treatment environment.
