Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
About The Position
Evergreen Center is seeking an experienced Licensed Practical Nurse to provide nursing care during scheduled hours of duty at its Central Education Facility. The LPN carries out routine health care and first aid procedures, maintains medical records, assesses emergency injuries or illnesses and informs the Director of Health Services, and communicates with parents, physicians, and service agencies about students’ health needs. The role follows a five-week rotating schedule, primarily on day shifts. It includes six 12:30 p.m.–8:30 p.m. shifts during each five-week period, one weekend shift every five weeks from 8:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m., and assigned off-hours on-call coverage.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Current Massachusetts LPN license.
- At least two years of LPN experience.
- Experience working with people who have developmental disabilities.
- Current malpractice insurance.
