About The Position
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join the Pediatric Department at Naval Medical Center Portsmouth. This role supports military families by delivering high-quality outpatient pediatric care in a collaborative, mission-driven environment.
Requirements
- Graduate of a State Board-approved LPN/LVN program or equivalent military training
- Minimum 1 year of LPN experience within the last 2 years
- Current, full, active, and unrestricted LPN/LVN license
- Basic Life Support (BLS) required
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to pediatric patients in an outpatient setting
- Conduct patient intake, triage, and vital sign collection
- Administer medications, immunizations, and IV therapies
- Assist providers with exams, procedures, and treatments
- Monitor and document patient conditions and treatment responses
- Provide education to pediatric patients and families on care plans and prevention
- Support clinic workflow, scheduling, and patient coordination
