About The Position

To provide direct patient care and functions as an integral part of the nursing team under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse and perform selected procedures in accordance with the New Jersey Board of Nursing.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of practical nursing.
• Completion of the Agency’s Orientation Program of the Valley Home Care.
• Current & valid NJ license and CPR certification.
• Ability to use critical thinking skills to set priorities, effectively problem-solve, and perform work accurately with attention to details, often changing from one task to another w/o loss of efficiency or composure.
• Ability to handle frequent interruptions including emergencies & adapt to changes in workloads and schedules.
• Ability to function competently in stressful situations related to patient needs (e.g., working w/ patients w/acute, chronic, & complex disease processes, & those who are dying and work w/ patients of varied age groups.
• Ability to work cooperatively w/ members of the healthcare delivery team, patients, family members, & co-workers.
• Effective interpersonal and communication (oral & writing) skills.
• Driver`s License - current and valid driver`s license, registration, inspection sticker and appropriate level of insurance coverage required, to include collision.
• Employees must adhere to all procedural guidelines in HR Policy 108 including demonstrating an acceptable driving record for the duration of their employment as long as driving continues to be a responsibility of the job.
