About The Position

Mount Vernon Nursing & Rehab is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for full-time day and night shifts, with an every-other-weekend rotation. Listed shift times are 6 a.m.–6 p.m. and 6 p.m.–6 a.m. The LPN provides nursing care that promotes residents’ physical and psychosocial well-being, builds meaningful relationships by learning residents’ life stories, and supports a positive, coordinated care environment. The role calls for a supportive presence, teamwork, collaboration, leadership within the care team, and respectful communication. Requirements

• Current, valid Licensed Practical Nurse license in Indiana.
• Proficient medication management skills.
• Ability to conduct thorough assessments and accurately document changes in resident condition.
• Strong passion for geriatric nursing and commitment to senior care excellence.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrates Compassion, Accountability, Relationships, and Excellence.

Responsibilities

• Promote residents’ physical and psychosocial well-being through nursing skills.
• Create a comforting and engaging atmosphere for residents.
• Promote teamwork within the care team to meet residents’ needs.
• Collaborate with nursing and other facility teams to provide coordinated, comprehensive care.
• Manage medications proficiently.
• Conduct thorough assessments and accurately document changes in residents’ conditions.
