About The Position

Avenues Recovery Center is seeking Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) for the night shift (7pm - 7am) at their Covington, LA location. Avenues Recovery Center is part of a nationwide network of drug and alcohol rehab centers dedicated to providing evidence-based clinical care and individualized treatment. The role involves providing quality medical care, coordinating pharmacy and prescription needs, dispensing medication, maintaining med logs, collaborating with medical and clinical teams, documenting client information, and providing patient education.

Requirements

• Minimum one year diploma program post-high school
• Current licensure necessary to practice in-state, or compact licensure with multistate privileges
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Detail-oriented, efficient worker with ability to multitask
• Compassionate, dignified character which models recovery principles

Responsibilities

• Provide quality medical care for each client throughout admission, treatment and discharge
• Coordinate all pharmacy and prescription needs, dispense medication, and keep clear med logs
• Collaborate with extended medical, clinical and UR teams to ensure total coordination of care
• Maintain meticulous medical documentation, tracking and reporting for each client
• Provide patient education in individual and group settings
