About The Position
Skaalen Retirement Services is seeking compassionate Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) for all shifts, available in both Full-Time and Part-Time capacities. The role involves providing resident-centered nursing care, administering medications and treatments, monitoring resident health, assisting with assessments and care planning, maintaining electronic health records, supervising CNAs, collaborating with the healthcare team, and ensuring resident comfort and dignity while adhering to regulations. Skaalen has a long-standing history of over 125 years in serving older adults and fostering a supportive, family-like work environment.
Requirements
- Current Wisconsin Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in good standing
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
Nice To Haves
- Long-term care or geriatric experience is preferred, but new graduates are encouraged to apply
Responsibilities
- Administering medications and treatments
- Monitoring resident health and reporting changes
- Assisting with assessments and care planning
- Maintaining accurate documentation in the electronic health record
- Supervising and supporting Certified Nursing Assistants
- Collaborating with RNs, physicians, and the interdisciplinary care team
- Promoting resident comfort, dignity, and quality of life
- Ensuring compliance with state, federal, and HIPAA regulations
