Licensed Practical Nurse - Assisted Living - Part Time - 6 AM-6 PM
About The Position
This position is responsible for providing licensed nursing services to residents, following the guidelines provided by Senior Lifestyle Corporation. The role involves medication administration, resident admissions, completing care plans, and potentially tracking clinical systems like wounds or infection control. The nurse will also provide health consultations, communicate changes in resident health to physicians and families, respond to emergencies, and maintain interdepartmental communication. Additionally, the position may involve conducting educational meetings and ensuring resident confidentiality. Discharges, assessments, and clinical documentation may also be part of the responsibilities.
Requirements
- Training from an accredited licensed or vocational nursing program.
- 1+ years of experience in senior care or a related field.
- Licensed Practical Nurse’s License current in the state of practice.
- CPR Certified.
- Acceptable proficiency in English to perform job duties, communicate with supervisors and employees, and respond to emergency situations.
- Basic computer skills.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks safely and effectively.
- High tolerance for working under pressure and handling critical situations in a calm and professional manner.
Responsibilities
- Provide licensed nursing services to residents.
- Administer medications in compliance with regulations and company guidelines.
- Conduct admissions, including assessments and documentation.
- Complete acute and long-term care plans or service plans.
- Track clinical systems (e.g., wounds, infection control) under the director's guidance.
- Provide general consultation on health-related concerns.
- Notify physicians and/or family members of resident health changes and document appropriately.
- Respond to all emergencies.
- Maintain communication with all departments and staff.
- Provide educational meetings for residents and staff.
- Maintain confidentiality of residents' information.
- Perform discharges, assessments, and clinical documentation as needed.
