About The Position

The Licensed Practical Nurse provides medical services to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities to help them maintain optimal health and wellbeing. The role supports individualized care and works with Direct Support Professionals to ensure each person’s needs are met. The position requires a current, valid Practical Nurse license, a valid driver’s license with necessary endorsements and at least three years of driving experience, basic computer skills, and successful completion of required pre-employment background and drug screenings. Experience working with people with intellectual or developmental disabilities is preferred. The listed hourly rate is $32.00. The position will remain open until filled.

Requirements

• Successfully complete required pre-employment background and drug screenings.
• Possess a valid driver’s license with all necessary endorsements and at least three years of driving experience.
• Possess basic computer skills.
• Possess a current and valid Practical Nurse license.

Responsibilities

• Assist in providing basic healthcare services according to each individual’s plan to support optimal health and wellbeing.
• Perform delegated tasks such as blood pressure monitoring, taking weights, and other assigned tasks.
• Ensure documentation is accurate and complete according to regulations.
• Organize and maintain the cleanliness of supplies and equipment, and restock inventory.
• Collaborate with Direct Support Professionals to ensure individuals’ needs are met.
• Immediately communicate changes in medical or behavioral status to a supervisor.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
