About The Position

Skaalen Retirement Services is hiring Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) for all shifts, offering both full-time and part-time opportunities. With over 125 years of experience, Skaalen is dedicated to providing exceptional care to older adults and fostering a supportive, family-like work environment where employees feel appreciated and empowered. The role involves providing compassionate, resident-centered nursing care, including administering medications and treatments, monitoring resident health, assisting with assessments and care planning, maintaining electronic health records, supervising CNAs, and collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure resident comfort and quality of life while adhering to regulations.

Requirements

• Current Wisconsin Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in good standing
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
• Strong communication and teamwork skills

Nice To Haves

• Long-term care or geriatric experience is preferred

Responsibilities

• Administering medications and treatments
• Monitoring resident health and reporting changes
• Assisting with assessments and care planning
• Maintaining accurate documentation in the electronic health record
• Supervising and supporting Certified Nursing Assistants
• Collaborating with RNs, physicians, and the interdisciplinary care team
• Promoting resident comfort, dignity, and quality of life
• Ensuring compliance with state, federal, and HIPAA regulations
