About The Position

Southern Utah Veterans Home in Ivins, Utah is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated PRN- Licensed Practical Nurse to join our outstanding team! This PRN (pro re nata, or as needed) position supports the nursing team by delivering quality care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

• Current and valid LPN license in the state of Utah.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Flexibility to work PRN shifts as needed, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or related healthcare setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians and according to facility protocols.
• Monitor and document residents’ health status and report any changes to the Registered Nurse or healthcare provider.
• Assist with resident activities of daily living (ADLs) and ensure their comfort and safety.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in residents’ medical records.
• Adhere to infection control and safety standards to maintain a clean and safe environment.
• Provide emotional support and education to residents and their families as needed.
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development activities.
