About The Position

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in Family Medicine is responsible for pre-visit planning, standard rooming responsibilities, assisting with procedures, providing discharge instructions, and carrying out administrative and clinical tasks as directed by a medical provider. The LPN helps patients feel at ease and collaborates with the provider throughout each patient visit. This position is based in Suring and works 32 hours per week while being eligible for full-time benefits.

Requirements

Current clinical experience as a licensed practical nurse.
Valid Practical Nursing license issued by the state of Wisconsin, required upon hire.
CPR/Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers certification from an approved program, required upon hire.

Responsibilities

Room patients and perform and document vital signs and patient backgrounds.
Coordinate provider schedules and appointments, enter orders, and prepare patient charts.
Instruct patients and families as directed within the scope of licensure or certification.
Prepare patients and assist medical providers with in-office procedures.
Prepare and administer medications and immunizations.
Maintain exam rooms and equipment in accordance with infection-control standards.
Ensure appropriate levels of medical supplies in each patient room.
