About The Position

University of Iowa Health Care Department of Nursing is seeking a 100% Licensed Practical Nurse to work in our North Dodge OBGYN Clinic. This role involves providing nursing care under the supervision of a registered professional nurse, participating in the development of nursing care plans, and implementing therapeutic programs for patients. In less complex situations, the LPN may assume responsibility for directing and supervising assigned nursing personnel. In more complex situations, the LPN performs as an assistant to the registered professional nurse. The position also includes performing patient care related to vital signs, lab draws, setting up and assisting with minor procedures, in-clinic treatments, point of care testing, and other duties as assigned. The LPN will provide psychological support to the patient and family based on assessed needs. Requirements

  • Licensed as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with the Iowa Board of Nursing, or eligible for temporary work permit.
  • Responsible to take the required continuing education hours to maintain a valid LPN certification.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support Certification

Responsibilities
